Rahway Post No. 5 American Legion is one of the oldest veterans groups in the state of New Jersey. Organized in 1919 the local Post holds the fifth American Legion Charter in New Jersey.
The purpose of our organization is the service of or community, state and nation. The principle function is protecting the rights of veterans, their wifes and children. We also support the widows and orphans of deceased veterans and care for the disabled, especially those veterans in hospitals.
